We believe the Bible is God’s word, true and sufficient. We read it, we preach it, and we let it govern the parts of life people usually keep separate. Money. Marriage. Children. Work. Sex. Education. How we treat our parents. That is what we mean when we say all of life.
The Westminster Confession
We hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith as an accurate summary of what Scripture teaches. A confession does not sit above the Bible. It is a public account of how we read it, written down so that anyone can hold us to it. It also means you can know what we teach before you walk through the gate.
We baptise the children of believers
We baptise the children of believers, not only adults who make a profession of faith. We do this because the sign of God’s covenant has always belonged to believers and to their households. Infant baptism is not a reward for a decision anyone has made. It is a promise God makes, and we raise our children to trust it.

Baptised children eat and drink with us each week, including the small ones. If they belong to the covenant, they belong at the family meal. This practice is called paedocommunion, and it is uncommon in Kenya. We do not make children wait years to be treated as though they are ours.

We break bread every Sunday
We take the Lord’s Supper every week, not monthly and not quarterly. It is a meal, and a family is fed at the table often rather than occasionally. Bread and wine, given to the whole church, every time we gather.
We sing psalms and hymns
We sing the psalms because God gave us words to sing back to him, and we sing the hymns the church has carried for centuries. We sing them deliberately, and we work at singing them well. Once a year we run a music camp so that the people here, and the children of this neighbourhood, learn to sing and to play.
Reformed, and not in a denomination
We are Reformed in conviction and we are not formally part of a denomination. We are governed by elders, and we are glad of fellowship with churches who hold what we hold.

The sentence above about elders is stand in wording, not yours. Tell us how many elders there are and what they are called, and we will write it properly. Until then the page should not claim something we cannot answer for if a visitor asks.
If you disagree
Everyone is welcome on a Sunday. You do not have to agree with all of this to sit down with us, sing with us and eat with us afterwards. If you are a Christian who reads these things differently out of real conviction, you are still welcome here. Come and ask. We would rather answer the question than have you guess at the answer.
Giving
Everyone here gives. We give at whatever stage we are at, generously and cheerfully, and no one is exempt. We never promise that what you give will come back to you multiplied, because Scripture does not promise it. If you want to know how giving works here, it is set out plainly.
